GIF Conversion Tools

Paint Shop Pro is a fully featured, shareware graphics package that can also convert between formats including GIF, PCX, BMP, TIFF, MAC, PCX and many more (over 30 formats).

GIFConverter

GIFConverter is a graphics viewing and converting program for the Macintosh. It can convert between: GIF, JPEG, PICT, MacPaint, CompuServe RLE, TIFF, RIFF, EPS (output only).

GraphicConverter

GraphicConverter converts the most common Atari, Amiga and IBM formats to Macintosh formats and back (over 50 formats). Additionally, you can edit pictures and generate lists which include picture information. GraphicConverter imports and exports PICT, Startup-Screen, MacPaint, TIFF (uncompressed, packbits and lzw), GIF, PCX, GEM-IMG/-XIMG, BMP, PSD, JPEG/JFIF, PBM/PGM/PPM, TGA, HP-GL/2, PICS, SUN and many more.

ImageMagick

A tool for displaying and converting many graphics formats (over 50 formats). It is available for free and runs on almost all X window systems.

XV is an interactive image manipulation program for X Windows that converts image files to and from GIF, JPEG, TIFF, PBM, PPM, X11, bitmap, Sun rasterfile, RLE, RGB, BMP, PCX, and PM formats.
